Reading Passage

Last Saturday, Maria’s day was very busy. She got up early because her alarm clock went off at 6 a.m. She quickly put on her shoes and set off to the market. On her way, her bike suddenly broke down, so she had to deal with the problem. Luckily, a man helped her and she finally caught up with her friend at the bus stop.

At the market, Maria came across an old friend from school. They talked for a while and promised to call back each other later. After shopping, Maria came back home, put away the groceries, and carried on with her cleaning.

In the afternoon, her neighbour asked her to look after a little girl. Maria agreed, but she had to put off her own homework. In the evening, she was tired but happy because she had dealt with everything well.
