Reading Passage

Last Saturday, Anna planned to set off early for a trip to the countryside. She packed her bag the night before and looked through her checklist to make sure she didn’t miss anything. In the morning, she woke up late because her alarm didn’t go off. She quickly put on her clothes, grabbed her phone, and ran out of the house. On the way to the bus stop, she bumped into her friend Lisa, who offered to pick her up in the car. On the road, the car broke down, so they had to call for help. While waiting, they looked around a small village nearby and came across a lovely café. They sat down, ordered drinks, and chatted to pass the time. Finally, a mechanic showed up and fixed the car. Even though the trip was cut short, Anna didn’t give up. She promised to make up for it the next weekend.
