Reading Passage
When Emma moved to London for her new job, she quickly noticed that she had little time for herself. The city was fast, noisy, and full of people rushing everywhere. At first, she had few friends and felt quite lonely. However, things started to change after she joined a local photography club. She met a few people who shared her interests, and soon she had some close friends to spend weekends with.
Although her job took a lot of energy, Emma learned to manage her schedule better. She realized that having a little time for relaxation made her more productive. Every weekend, she visited one of the many parks in the city. There were always plenty of people walking dogs, children playing, and musicians performing. She often took hundreds of pictures but shared only a few of them online.
Money was another challenge. In London, there were so many things to buy but so few she could actually afford. She learned to spend less and save more. With time, Emma discovered that happiness doesn’t depend on having much money or many possessions. What really mattered were a few good friends, some free time, and a little peace of mind.
Now, after two years, Emma feels that London is home. She still has some challenges, but also a lot of reasons to smile.
