Our First School Trip
Lucas
Before we went on the school trip, I felt quite nervous. It was my first time away from my family. Usually, my parents do everything for me. But on the trip, I had to look after my own money. My teacher gave us some cash each day. I loved choosing my own lunch and snacks in the café. I learned that I can make good decisions. My friend bought a lot of expensive presents, but I saved my money. I feel much older now!
Emma
At home, my mum always wakes me up for school. I am terrible at getting out of bed! So, during our trip to the mountains, I used my phone alarm for the first time. I woke up early every single day. I also learned to organise my things. I usually lose my socks or my keys at home. But in the hotel, I packed my bag carefully every night. I did not forget anything! I didn't buy any presents, but I took great photos.
Noah
I discovered that I am really good at finding directions on our school trip to London. We walked around the city in small groups. My teacher gave me a paper map because we couldn't use our phones. I read the map and showed my group the way to the museum. One boy in my group felt tired and lost, so I carried his bag and helped him. Before we travelled back, I used my last five pounds to buy a lovely mug for my mum.

Great Places to Hang Out!
The Art Café
Do you prefer quiet places? The Art Café is perfect for teenagers who love making beautiful things. You can sit in a comfortable chair and read a book. We provide all the paper and paint, so you do not need to bring anything. If you cannot draw, our friendly staff will teach you how to do it! We also sell delicious chocolate cake and hot drinks. It is a wonderful place to relax after a long day at school.
The Skate Park
Are you full of energy? The Skate Park is the best place for teenagers who love moving fast. You must bring your own skateboard or bike because we do not have any to borrow. We play loud pop songs all day, so it is never quiet here! You can practise your jumps and chat with other teenagers. We do not sell snacks, but there is a big shop on the next street. We are open every day of the week.
The Gaming Room
Do you love solving puzzles and playing on the computer? The Gaming Room is a dark and exciting place for teenagers. You can play amazing video games on our big screens. You do not play alone here. You will join a group and work together to beat the other players. Remember, you cannot eat or drink near the computers! We are closed during the school week, but you can visit us on Saturdays and Sundays.

A Famous Person at the Airport
Leo
I was waiting for my flight when I saw my favourite football player! He was easy to see because he is extremely tall. In pictures, he usually wears a red team shirt, but at the airport, he was wearing a bright yellow tracksuit. He had short, light hair. He was not carrying a pet, just a large sports bag. He smiled at me, but I was too shy to say hello. He looked exactly like he does on television!
Maya
I saw a famous pop singer while my family was buying drinks. She is famous for wearing beautiful, expensive dresses on stage. However, she was just wearing a heavy winter coat over a simple t-shirt. She is actually quite short in real life! I noticed her because she had very long, dark hair. She was also wearing huge black sunglasses over her eyes, so it was hard to see her face. She was walking very fast with two tall men.
Sam
When we arrived at the airport, I saw a famous actor sitting in the café. He always plays a young, strong hero in his movies. But in real life, he looked much older and his hair was completely grey. He was wearing normal blue jeans and a dark jumper. The funniest thing was that he was holding a tiny white dog in his arms! I wanted to take a photo of him and the dog, but my mum said no.
