Classroom Tablet Rules
Liam
At my school, we have strict rules for our tablets. We cannot use them in every lesson. Our teachers only give them to us for math and science. When the class finishes, we have to put them back inside a large cupboard. The teacher locks it with a key. We also have a rule about the internet. We cannot look at funny websites or watch music videos. We must only use the websites that our teacher writes on the board.
Chloe
My school does not buy tablets for the students. We must bring our own tablets from our houses. I carry mine in my bag every day. During the lesson, we use them to read long stories. There is an important rule when the teacher is speaking. We must put our tablets flat on our desks. The screen must look down at the table. If a teacher sees your screen, they take the tablet away until the end of the week!
Noah
We are very lucky because every student in my class gets a free tablet. But they belong to the school, so we must leave them in the classroom at four o'clock. We can never take them home. In my English lessons, we usually use them to do work with two or three other students. We read questions and find the answers together. We also play word games on them. The teachers say we must not eat food near them.

Resting your eyes after online classes
Screen Break Rules
When you spend all day on your computer, your eyes get very tired. You must remember to open and close your eyes often. When we look at screens, we sometimes forget to do this! You can use a timer on your phone to help you remember. Also, you should turn on a desk lamp. The light from your computer should not be the only light in your room. Every twenty minutes, look out of your window for a short time to rest your eyes.
Nature Walk
After your online classes finish, you need to leave your desk. The best way to rest your eyes is to go outside for a walk. Try to look at trees and birds. It is very important to look at things that are not close to you. Do not take your mobile phone when you go for a walk. If you look at your phone, your eyes cannot rest! Spending half an hour in the park every afternoon will make your eyes feel great again.
Eye Exercises
You can do simple exercises to make your tired eyes feel better. First, wash your hands. Then, rub your hands together quickly to make them warm. Put your warm hands over your closed eyes for one minute. Next, look up at the ceiling and down at the floor without moving your head. You should do this activity at night time, just before you go to sleep. Do not do it while you are looking at your computer screen during your lessons.

Online math quizzes
Alex
I have a big math test next week, so I do an online quiz every evening. I like the ones where you must finish in ten minutes. It is fun to see how fast I can answer the questions! Sometimes, I make mistakes because I read the questions too quickly. When I don't understand an answer, I show it to my older brother. He is very good at math and he always explains it to me. I hope I pass the test!
Bella
I hate reading long notes for math, so I use a great quiz app on my mobile phone. Every morning, I take the bus to school and I play the quizzes on my journey. It makes the time go fast! I don't just play quizzes, I also write my own questions. I send them to my classmates so they can practice too. My teacher says my questions are very clever. The app has lots of bright colors and it is never boring.
Charlie
Math is my hardest subject, and I usually get bad marks. My math teacher told me about a very good website with lots of math quizzes. It is much better to practice this way than to just read my school book! When I try a new quiz, my score is usually quite low. But I just play it again and again. Soon, I can answer everything correctly. My little sister wants to try them too, but the math is too difficult for her.
