A great science teacher
Leo
Mr. Clark is the best science teacher in our school. He always shows us fun experiments with cool equipment. Sometimes we do not understand the lesson fast. But Mr. Clark never gets angry. He just smiles and shows us again. He also started a science club on Fridays. We can stay after school and build little robots. Lots of my friends go there. I did not like science last year, but now it is my favourite subject.
Maya
I really like Mrs. Evans. She teaches biology and knows everything about plants and animals. She sometimes brings small insects or flowers into the classroom so we can look at them closely. She is great at making very hard topics easy to understand. We learn so much in her lessons. Mrs. Evans is also a very kind person. If you feel sad or have a problem with friends, she always listens and gives great advice.
Sam
Miss Jones is my favourite teacher because her lessons are never boring. She uses the computer a lot and we watch interesting short videos about space or the weather. She believes that every student can get good marks in her class. She often asks us about our dream jobs. If someone wants to be a doctor or an engineer, she tells them exactly what they need to study. She really cares about our future.

Advice for teens on how to stay calm when they have too much homework
Study Smart
Do you have too much homework? Don't worry! First, get a piece of paper and write down everything you need to do. It is easier when you can see your tasks. Start with the most difficult subject. When you finish it, you will feel great. Remember to stop and rest. You should take a short break every 30 minutes. You can walk around the room or get a drink of water. This helps your brain to work better when you sit down again.
Calm Mind
When school work makes you feel bad, try to change your room. It is a good idea to do your homework at the kitchen table, not in your bed. Your bedroom should be a place to sleep! If you still feel upset, you should talk to someone. Tell your parents or a good friend about your feelings. They can help you feel better. Also, take some long, slow breaths before you start writing. This tells your body to relax and helps you think clearly.
Homework Helper
Are you thinking about all your homework? Put your mobile phone in another room before you begin. If you look at messages, you will spend more time on your school work. Some students like to listen to quiet music, but for many people, it is better to work in a quiet place. When you finish all your work, give yourself a prize! You can watch your favourite TV show or eat a nice snack. It is important to have fun after working hard.

Helping a friend with their studies
Leo
My best friend Sam found maths really difficult. He always got bad marks in tests. I am quite good at numbers, so I decided to help him. We stayed in the school library for an hour every Tuesday after our lessons. I didn't give him the answers. Instead, I drew pictures to explain the difficult questions. We also played maths games on my tablet. Last week, he got a very good mark. I felt so happy for him!
Sara
My classmate Maria had a big history exam last month, but she couldn't remember important dates. She asked me for help because I love reading about the past. I went to her house on Saturday mornings. We made lots of small cards with dates and events on them. Then, we tried to match them quickly. Maria thought history was boring before, but she actually enjoyed our study games. She passed her exam and gave me a nice present to say thank you.
Tom
My friend Juan is from Spain. He is great at science, but he needed help with his English. He often felt nervous when he talked in class. We started walking home together every afternoon. I told him he could only speak English on our walk. At first, it was hard for him. If he didn't know a word, I helped him find it. Now, he speaks much louder in class and he is not afraid to make mistakes.
