How listening to classical music helps us study
Emma
I always listen to slow piano music when I do my maths homework. It really helps me think about the numbers. My parents play the guitar, but I cannot play any instruments. Before I started listening to classical music, I often looked at my mobile phone while studying. Now, I put my headphones on and I forget about my messages. I finish my work much faster. It is a great way to study!
Noah
My science teacher told me to try classical music last month. I usually listen to violin music when I finish studying. I do not listen while I read my books because I cannot remember the words. But it is perfect for the evening. When I have a big exam the next day, I play quiet music in bed. I fall asleep very quickly, and I wake up ready for the test. I am really happy I listened to my teacher.
Liam
I play the piano in the school band, so I love classical music. I always listen to very famous music, like Mozart, when I write stories for my English class. The music gives me lots of great ideas for my writing. I like to play the music quite loudly in my bedroom. My older sister is usually in the next room doing her homework, and she always tells me to turn it down! She prefers quiet pop music.

Guidelines on how to start a new hobby club
Finding your club idea
Do you want to start a new hobby club at school? First, you must think of a great idea. Perhaps you love taking photos or making model planes. You should ask your classmates if they want to join. You need to find at least ten students who are interested. Write their names on a piece of paper. You cannot start a club if you only have two or three friends. Make sure your idea is different from the clubs we already have.
Talking to a teacher
When you have a list of students, you need an adult to help you. You should ask a teacher to be your club leader. Think about who likes your hobby. The art teacher is a good person to ask for a drawing club! You must also plan where to meet. Do you need a big room or a quiet place? Your teacher will help you choose the best time. Most clubs happen on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons after lessons finish.
Having your first meeting
Now you are ready for your first club meeting! You can put posters on the walls to invite more students. On the first day, you should stand at the door and say hello to everyone. It is a good idea to bring some biscuits or fruit. At this meeting, you do not need to work hard. You just need to talk about what you want to do in the future. Listen carefully to everyone's ideas and have fun together!
