Saving Paper at School
Computer Club
Do you print your homework every day? You can save a lot of paper if you use your computer! First, you should always check your work on your monitor. Do not print it to look for mistakes. When your work is ready, do not use the school printer. You can send your homework to your teacher in an email. This saves paper and it is very fast. You can also ask your teacher to send you reading texts on the internet. Come to the Computer Club to learn more!
Green Team
The Green Team wants to help our school save paper. When you write in your class notebook, remember to use both sides of the page. Do not leave blank spaces! Also, you do not need to buy a new textbook for every class. You can share a book with a classmate at the same desk. Do you have old worksheets? Bring them to our meeting on Friday. We can show you how to make a small notebook from them. It is perfect for writing your homework list!
Art Room
In the Art Room, we love to reuse old paper for our school projects. If you draw a picture and make a bad mistake, please do not throw the paper in the bin! You can paint over it or use it to try new colors. We also need old magazines. You can cut them with scissors and use the pieces to make beautiful new posters for the school walls. You do not need fresh paper to make great art. Join us on Wednesday afternoons and get creative!

A School Trip to a Wind Farm
Leo
I loved our class trip to the wind farm. The machines were much taller than I thought! A worker took us inside one of them. We climbed up very high. I felt really afraid because I don't like high places, but the view at the top was amazing. I want to build these machines when I finish school. My dad works at a power station, but I think making clean energy from the wind is better for the world.
Mia
The bus trip to the wind farm was terrible because my friends were singing loudly. But the farm itself was very peaceful. I really liked learning how the wind moves the tall machines to make electricity. I took my camera with me and got some great pictures of the sky and the machines. I need to show them to my teacher for my science homework. I want to make a big poster. It was a very useful day.
Sam
I enjoyed learning about clean energy, but I didn't like standing under the wind machines. They made a really loud sound when the wind blew! It was much better inside the visitor centre. There were some fun computer games there about how to save electricity. I played them with my best friend for a long time. Before we went back, I got a small toy wind machine from the shop to put on my bedroom desk.
