Do you love eating? Every Friday afternoon, our group learns about food from around the world. We make easy meals from different countries in the school kitchen. You do not need to be a great cook! We just ask you to bring a popular recipe from your family to share with everyone. After we finish cooking, we sit down and eat together. We always make a lot of food, so you can put some in a box and take it home for your weekend dinner!
World Music Group
Do you enjoy moving to music? In our group, we listen to exciting songs from many different countries. We also have traditional instruments from Africa and Asia. You can hold them and try playing them yourself! In the second half of the meeting, a teacher shows us how to do popular dances from around the world. You do not need any special equipment to join us, but please remember to put on sports shoes because we jump and run a lot!
International Film Group
Are you a fan of movies? Every Friday, we turn the classroom into a cinema. You can watch great stories from places like Japan, Brazil, and France. Listening to the actors is a fantastic way for you to learn new words in another language. We always read the English text at the bottom of the screen to understand the story. When the film finishes, you can sit with the group and say what you think. In the summer, we sometimes watch films outside in the school garden!

Our school trip to the science museum
Leo
My favourite part of the science museum was the space room. We saw a real rocket and some old spacesuits. I really love reading about the planets, but I still learned many new things. At lunch, we ate in the museum café. I had a big burger and it was delicious! I did not buy anything in the gift shop because it was very expensive. At three o'clock, our teacher said it was time to go back to school. I was sad because I didn't want to leave.
Mia
I loved the human body exhibition on the second floor. We didn't just look at pictures. We could press buttons and play games to learn about our eyes and ears. It was very loud but great fun! After that, I went to the shop with my friends. I found a nice book about science for my little brother and got it for him. We ate our sandwiches outside. It was a long day, and I was very tired and ready to go home at the end.
Sam
The museum has a dark room with a big dinosaur inside. When it moved and made a loud noise, I was quite scared! But it was also really cool. My dad is a science teacher, so we often watch TV programmes about animals at home. Because of this, I already knew all the names of the dinosaurs. During the trip, I used my mobile phone to take lots of pictures. We have to write a story for homework, so I will use the photos for that.

Mountain School Camp
Clothes List
The weather in the mountains can change very quickly. You should pack different kinds of clothes. Bring some light t-shirts for the warm afternoons. You also need thick sweaters because the evenings are very cold. You will walk in the forest, so please wear strong boots. Do not bring your favorite new shoes or nice dresses! Your clothes will get dirty. Remember to pack enough clean socks for three days.
Tent Pack
You will sleep in a large tent with your classmates. The school gives you a bed, but you must bring your own sleeping bag. It is a good idea to pack an extra blanket because the mountain air is cold at night. Remember to bring a soft pillow from your bed at home. You also need a small torch. This will help you find your things in the dark when the lights are off.
Study Kit
This school camp is a great chance to learn about nature. You will spend a lot of time outside during the day. Please bring a small backpack to carry your water and snacks on our walks. You must also pack a notebook and some pens. You need them to draw pictures of plants and animals. You can also bring some binoculars. They are very useful for looking at birds high in the trees.
