Advice for students on the digital school library
Getting Started
Welcome to the digital school library! It is easy to begin. First, download the free library app on your mobile phone or tablet. Then, type your school email address and your password. If you forget this secret word, please ask your teacher for a new one. Remember, you can only borrow a maximum of three e-books at the same time. When you finish reading a book, you must return it before you can get another one. Enjoy your reading!
Choosing and Reading
When you open the digital library, you can search for different kinds of stories. Click on a book's cover to read what it is about. If the words on the screen are too small for you, it is easy to make them bigger in the settings. You can also read anywhere you go! Just save the e-book to your device first. After that, you will not need the internet to read it on the bus or in the park.
Returning and Reserving
Every e-book you borrow stays on your device for exactly fourteen days. After two weeks, the book disappears from your screen, so you do not need to worry about being late! However, if you finish reading it quickly, you can click 'Return' to give it back early. Sometimes, a popular book is not available because another student has it. Don't worry! Just click 'Wait' and we will send you an email when the book is ready for you.

Sharing Comic Books
Leo
I love break time because I can share comics with my friends. I only want to read stories that are funny. I don't like sad stories. My friend Sam always gives me great comics. Last week, he gave me one about a crazy cat. I loved it so much that I read it two times! I always put the comics carefully in my bag. I don't want to break Toby's old comics when I borrow them.
Sam
Toby and Leo always bring their comics to school, but I am sometimes lazy and forget to bring mine! I really like action stories. My favourite comics are about teenagers who can fly or do magic. I don't usually read funny stories. I am quite good at art, and I often look at the pictures in the comics to help me draw my own heroes. Sometimes my brother asks to read my comics, but I say no!

I always sit with Sam and Leo in the playground to read comics. I think the new comics in the shops are boring. I love reading old stories from the 1980s about space travel. I don't buy them. Comedy Movie Club
Do you love to laugh? In the Comedy Movie Club, we watch funny films from different countries. The actors speak many different languages, but the stories are always very funny! Action Film Club
If you like exciting stories, this is the right club for you! Every Thursday, we watch fast action films from countries like Japan and Brazil. These films do not have English voices. You have to read the words at the bottom of the screen. This is a great way to practice reading fast! You can meet new friends who also love action movies. We watch the films in the big science room. Please remember to bring a warm sweater because it is often cold there.
True Story Film Club
Do you want to know about the world? Our club only shows true stories about real people. We watch films about teenagers from other countries. You can see what they eat, how they go to school, and what they do in their free time. It is a fantastic way to learn about different lives. We meet in the art room on Fridays. Please bring your own sandwiches and drinks, because we eat lunch together before the film begins.
