A disagreement about a movie's ending
Liam
We went to the cinema on Saturday to watch a new space film. My friends didn't like the ending at all. They wanted the main characters to be happy. But I thought the sad ending was actually very good. It felt much more real to me! We talked about it for a long time on the bus home. I really enjoyed the film, but maybe we can watch a funny comedy next time so everyone is happy.

I usually watch movies at home, but I went out to see this film with Liam and Noah. Usually, I can guess what happens at the end of a story. But this time, I was completely lost! The last ten minutes were very strange, and I didn't understand the story at all. I told the boys that it was a terrible way to finish the movie. I think the director should change the ending and make it a happy one!

Information about a local comic club
Club Meetings
Do you love reading comics? Our club is the perfect place for you! We meet every Friday evening at the town library. You do not need to bring any money because the club is completely free. At our meetings, you can talk about your favourite heroes with other teenagers. It is a great way to make new friends. You can also invite your school mates to come along. Just remember to ask your parents before you join us.
Borrowing Comics
Our club has a large box of amazing comic books. You can borrow them and take them home for one week. You must bring them back to the next meeting so other people can read them. Please wash your hands before you read, and do not eat snacks while you look at the pages! We want to keep the books clean. If you have old comics in your bedroom, you can bring them to the club to share with everyone.
Art Workshop
We do not just read comics in our club, we also make them! Once a month, a local artist visits us to help you draw your own characters. It is not a problem if you are bad at art. The artist will show you easy ways to draw faces and write exciting stories. You just need to bring your own pencils and some paper. At the end of the year, we will put your best pictures on the club website.

Watching sad movies on rainy days
Lucas
When it rains, I always stay inside and watch sad movies. Some people hate crying, but I actually feel much better after a sad story. I like watching them on the sofa with my dog, Max. These films are great because they make me feel lucky. When I see characters with big problems, I think about my own life and I feel very happy. My sister never watches them with me. She thinks sad movies are boring and prefers to read funny books.
Sophie
Rainy days are perfect for sad films. The dark weather outside is exactly like the feeling of the story! I never invite friends over for movie days because I prefer to watch them alone in my bedroom. I just lie on my bed and look at the screen. My favourite part of sad movies is usually the music. The slow songs are always very beautiful. Sometimes I try to play them on my guitar later, but I am not very good yet.
