Dancing to Pop Music
Maria
I always dance in my bedroom after school. I do not like playing normal sports like football or tennis, so dancing is my favourite way to keep fit. I usually listen to old pop songs. My mum and dad loved these songs when they were teenagers! I jump around a lot, and it makes me feel really happy. I never leave my room when I do this. It is a great way to forget about a busy day at school.
David
I love dancing to the newest pop music. Twice a week, I invite my friends to my house and we practice together. We always watch popular videos online to learn new ways to move. Sometimes the dances are really fast and difficult! When we finish, I always need a big drink of water because I feel so tired. I want to join a dance club in the future, but right now I just enjoy having fun in my living room.
Sarah
Every Saturday morning, I go to the sports centre in my town for a pop dance class. Our teacher plays great music and shows us how to move. It is a lot of fun, and it really helps my body. I also love running, and I can run much faster now because dancing makes my legs strong. My friends want to come with me next week! I always feel full of energy after my class, never tired.

Beginner Martial Arts Clubs
Tiger Karate Club
Have you ever wanted to try karate? Our club is perfect for complete beginners. You do not need to buy a special white suit right away. Just wear some comfortable sports clothes for your first month! Your first lesson is also completely free, so you can see if you like it. We have special classes on Saturday mornings where parents and children can learn together. Our friendly teachers will show you how to punch and block safely. Come and make some new friends!
Golden Dragon Judo
Judo is a fantastic way to get strong and fit. In our beginner classes, the first thing you learn is how to fall down safely without hurting yourself. This is very important! Before your first class, you must buy a special judo suit from our club shop. We practice every Tuesday and Thursday evening. Many students say judo helps them feel more confident at school. We do not have classes for parents, but they can sit and watch you practice.
Ninja Taekwondo Centre
Do you want to learn how to kick high in the air? Taekwondo is a very fast and exciting sport. Our beginner classes are on Monday and Wednesday afternoons after school. You will learn how to stand correctly and move quickly. It is also great for your mind. It teaches you how to be quiet and think carefully when you are busy or tired. Later in the year, you can even enter fun competitions against other clubs if you want to!

Running to the Beat
Liam
I love running in the park near my house. When I run, I always listen to rock music from the 1980s. These are old songs that my mum and dad love. Most of my friends think it is strange because they prefer modern pop music. However, the heavy drums really help me run fast. I do not use an app to find new music. I just keep the same forty songs on my phone. They never get boring for me!
Chloe
My running playlist is full of electronic dance music. I think it is the best for exercise because the songs have a great beat and no words. When people sing, I cannot think about my running! I get bored easily, so I look for new music and change my playlist every weekend. My best friend Sarah runs with me on Sundays. I bring a small speaker with me so we can both listen to my music while we exercise together.
Noah
I go running three times a week. I really enjoy listening to modern pop music. Last month, I downloaded a clever app on my phone. It builds a special playlist for me. The first few songs are quite slow while I warm up. Then, the music gets much faster near the end of my run. This gives me a lot of energy when I feel tired! My brother loves rock music, but I only put pop songs on my list.
