Theater Club Costumes
The Making Team
Do you like making things with your hands? The making team makes all the clothes for the school play. You do not need to know how to make clothes before you join. Our teachers will show you how to use a special machine safely. You will make beautiful dresses and trousers for the actors. We have lots of colourful material at school. But please bring your own scissors from your house because we do not have enough. We meet every Tuesday afternoon.
The Design Team
Before we can make any costumes, we need to know what they look like! The design team is perfect for students who love making pictures. You will sit with the actors and draw their clothes on paper. You will also help us with the hats the actors wear. You will use bright paint to make them look amazing. We do not buy clothes on this team, we just plan them. We usually work in the art room on Wednesday lunchtimes.
The Shopping Team
We need students to help us find clothes for the play. The shopping team goes to small shops in town every Saturday. You must be good at looking for things because we do not have a lot of money to spend. We find cheap old shirts and big coats. When we take them back to school, we cut them and turn them into exciting theatre costumes! You do not need to make pictures or sew on this team.

Comfortable Clothes for Skateboarding
Jake
When I go skateboarding, I always wear very large, old T-shirts. I do not buy them from shops. I actually take them from my dad! They are too big for me, but that makes them perfect for skating. I also wear wide trousers that cover my legs. I fall down quite often, so they keep my knees safe from cuts. I never wear a jacket while I skate, but I always put a warm jumper in my bag for the walk home.
Toby
I love wearing tracksuits when I spend the day at the skatepark. I always buy them two sizes bigger than my real size because I need to move my body easily. They are so comfortable! My mum thinks my very big clothes look terrible, but I don't mind. I have long hair, so it often goes in my eyes when I move fast. Because of this, I always wear a baseball cap. It really helps me see where I am going.
Leo
Skateboarding is hard work and you can get really warm. That is why I never wear long trousers. I prefer wearing very wide shorts that go below my knees. I usually just wear simple white or black T-shirts. Skateboarders fall a lot and our clothes get dirty very quickly. Because of this, I only buy cheap tops from the supermarket.
