Watching a live football match

Liam

I went to Manchester with my school football club to watch a big match. We travelled by bus, but the journey was very slow because there was a lot of traffic. I wanted to buy a burger inside the stadium, but it cost a lot of money, so I didn't get one. Before we went home, I visited the stadium shop. I bought a red team scarf to wear in winter. It was a great day with my friends!

Noah

My dad and I took the train to London last weekend. We went to see his favourite football team play. The stadium was huge, and everyone sang songs very loudly. It was amazing! Our team scored a goal in the first ten minutes, and we all jumped up from our seats. Because there were lots of people, my dad said we must go to the train station early. So, we did not see the last five minutes of the game.

Oscar

I travelled to Liverpool with my uncle in his car. We arrived early and found a great cafe near the stadium. We had some amazing pizza there. When we went inside the stadium, we couldn't find our chairs. A man told us our tickets were for the standing area! So, we stood on our feet for the whole match. My team played badly and lost the game, but I still loved watching the players on the field.

    Flying with your instrument

    Soft Bags

Do you want to take your guitar inside the airplane with you? A soft bag is very useful for this. It is light and easy to carry on your back. You can put it in the small cupboard above your seat. But you must be careful. Never let the airport staff put a soft bag under the plane with the big suitcases. Your instrument will break easily. Soft bags are best for short flights when you keep your instrument next to you all the time.

    Hard Cases

A hard case is the best choice for long trips. It is very strong and safe. If the airport staff put your violin under the airplane, it will be fine. Before you close the case, remember to make the strings a bit loose. If the strings are too tight, they can break during the flight. You should also put a good lock on the outside of the case. This stops anyone from opening it while you are waiting for your flight.

    Inside the Case

It is important to pack the space around your instrument. When you walk, your guitar or violin can move inside its case. This can cause damage. You should put some soft clothes or newspaper around the neck of the instrument to keep it safe. Does your instrument have small parts, like a tuner? Take them off and put them in a different pocket. If you leave them on, they can scratch the beautiful wood of your guitar when the airplane moves.

      Carrying our heavy camping bags

      Jack

I went camping in the mountains last weekend. My backpack was very heavy. I had a small tent, a big sleeping bag and my clothes. I also brought two thick blankets because I hate feeling cold at night! After an hour of walking, my back hurt a lot. My dad was with me. He saw I was tired. He took my heavy tent and carried it for me. I felt much better after that. The trip was really fun!

      Liam

My friends and I walked a long way to our campsite. I wanted to have a light bag, so I left my large pillow in my bedroom. I only packed the things I really needed. My sleeping bag was quite heavy, but I had a great little tent. It didn't weigh much at all, and it was very easy to carry. My friend Tom had a huge bag, and he walked very slowly. Next time, I will help him.

      Noah

I went on a camping trip with my school club. We had a very big tent for four people. It was too heavy for one person. So, my three friends and I shared the different parts of it. My backpack was still full. I bought a warm sleeping bag from the sports shop the day before. It was great. The walk was hard work. We felt very tired, so we sat under a tree and ate some sandwiches.
