Cycling to the Park
Liam
My parents always offer to drive me to the sports park on Saturdays. But I prefer to use my bicycle. When you go by car, you often sit in long lines of traffic. On a bike, I can ride past all the cars easily! Also, I want to be very healthy and build my muscles for my football team. My younger brother usually cycles with me. We enjoy racing each other to see who can reach the park first.
Chloe
I go to the park by bike because it is much better for the environment. Cars make the air very dirty. Another great thing about cycling is that I do not spend my pocket money on bus tickets or petrol. The journey to the park is beautiful. I often stop by the river to take pictures of the birds and trees. You cannot do that when you are sitting in the back of your dad's car!
Noah
I like to cycle to the park because I feel completely free. If I ask my mom for a ride, I have to wait until she is ready. On my bike, I can leave the house at any time I want. I always meet my friends there early in the morning. I also know a lot about bicycles now. If my wheel breaks, I can make it work again by myself. I feel very proud of that!

Do not bring hot food on this bus, but you can drink water. Take this bus if you want to help keep our town beautiful.
School Express
The School Express is the fastest way to travel to your classes every morning. These new electric buses do not make any dirty smoke. Are you worried about your mobile phone battery? You can charge it under your seat! You do not need to pay any money if you are under fifteen years old. Just show your school card to the driver. Please remember to talk quietly because other students often read their books on the way to school.
Weekend City Line
Do you want to visit the cinema or go shopping with your friends on Saturdays? The Weekend City Line is the best electric bus for you. The old buses had very loud engines, but this new one is completely quiet. You can easily hear your friends talking! You can buy your ticket from the driver with cash. A school trip to a nature reserve
Ben
Our science class went to the nature reserve on Tuesday. It was very cold and windy, so we had to wear warm coats. I wanted to take lots of photos of the wild birds. I forgot to bring my camera from home, but my friend let me use his. I saw a huge group of birds flying over the lake! Our teacher told us to be quiet so the birds didn't fly away. Later, I bought a hot chocolate to get warm.
Lily
I love art, so I took my pencils and paper on the school trip. I wanted to draw the wild birds at the nature reserve. We walked very fast through the forest, but I didn't feel tired. Suddenly, our teacher stopped us. He showed me a small blue bird in a tree. He helped me find it because it was very difficult to see. I sat quietly and drew a beautiful picture of it. I felt really hungry later, but I forgot to bring snacks!
Sam
The trip to the nature reserve was a long day. We walked for four hours in the woods! My legs really hurt and I felt very tired on the bus home. I packed a big lunch with lots of sandwiches and fruit for the trip. I shared some apples with my classmates. The forest was beautiful, but the birds were high up in the tall trees. I heard them singing all day, but I only saw two or three small birds.
