Liam
I play basketball for my school, and our captain is Jake. He is a fantastic captain because he is very funny. Sometimes we play badly and lose our matches. When that happens, Jake always tells jokes and makes us feel much happier. He is a good player, but he is not the best basketball player on the team. I think that does not matter. A great captain needs to be friendly and talk to everyone. Jake always listens to our problems.
Sara
Chloe is the captain of our volleyball team. She is very different from other captains. She is quite a quiet person and she does not talk a lot before a big game. But she is a brilliant leader because she always works the hardest. She always comes to the sports hall early. She gets the nets ready for our practice. The High Flyers
Do you want to play basketball? We are looking for new players for our team. It helps if you are tall, but it is not the most important thing. You must be good at passing the ball and helping other players. We win together and we lose together! We practise every Tuesday and Thursday evening. Our coach is very friendly, but he wants everyone to work hard. You need to wear comfortable sports clothes and clean trainers. Come and try!
The Fast Track
Do you love running? We need fast teenagers for our weekend races. You do not need to be very tall or strong for this sport. You just need a lot of energy! Running is great because you can think about things while you exercise. You mostly run on your own, so you do not have to worry about a team. However, you must always finish the race, even when you feel tired. Please bring a big bottle of water with you.
The Rock Cats
Are you brave and strong? Our climbing club is looking for new members. You will use your hands and feet to climb high walls. You have to be very careful and wait for your turn. It takes time to learn, so you must be patient. Sometimes you will fall, but you must try again. We do not have races, so it does not matter if you are slow. We meet on Saturday mornings at the big sports centre in town.

I am a very quiet person. I often feel nervous when I meet new people at school. Because of this, my favourite hobby is painting. I can spend hours alone in my bedroom with my brushes and colours. It is the best way for me to relax. My sister loves noisy sports, but I do not like loud places. When I paint, I do not have to talk to anyone. I just listen to soft music and enjoy the quiet time.
Sofia
I have a lot of energy and I love talking! I am definitely an outgoing person. That is why I play the drums in a school rock band. We practice in the music room every Wednesday. It is great because I get to play very loud music! I really enjoy working together with my bandmates. We are a big group and we always laugh a lot. Sometimes I try to paint like my brother, but I just cannot sit still for long!
