Our school went to Spain for five days. We tried a famous rice dish called paella. My mom often cooks this meal for us in our kitchen, so I know it very well. But the paella in Spain had different vegetables and tasted much better! I loved it so much that I went to a shop and found a nice recipe book. I gave it to my mom so she can try making it the Spanish way.

An inspiring school trip

Our teacher took us to the city art gallery last month. I usually find art quite boring, but I really loved the paintings of old ships. I took lots of photos of them with my camera. The teacher explained that these ships travelled around the world hundreds of years ago. Because of this trip, I decided to choose history for my extra class next year. I want to learn more about the people who sailed on those oceans.

I am terrible at painting, so I didn't want to go to the art gallery. But then we saw a room full of beautiful animal statues. They looked exactly like real lions and bears! I stood and looked at them for a long time. Now, I am reading a lot of books about wild animals. I am going to study biology next term because of that room.
