Our School Uniforms
Leo
I like our school uniform because I do not have to think about my clothes. I get out of bed and put it on. It saves me a lot of time every morning! But I really hate the dark brown color. It looks very sad. I wish the teachers would let us wear our own special things with it. I want to wear my favorite blue hat or a nice scarf. That would make the uniform much better.
Maya
I think uniforms are a good idea. At my last school, people always looked at my clothes. Now, every student wears the same white shirt and grey skirt. Nobody worries about having the newest shoes. We are all equal. But our uniform is not very comfortable when the weather is warm. We must wear a heavy jacket all year. I hate wearing it in July. I think we should have lighter clothes for the summer months.

Our school uniform is very strict. We have to wear a green jumper and a tie. I often forget to put my tie on, and the teachers always get angry with me. It is a big problem! Also, the clothes are very expensive to buy in the shops. My parents do not want to spend a lot of money, so I have to wear my older brother's old uniform. It is too big for me and it looks terrible.

Summer Field Trip Dress Codes
Trip to Green Hill Farm
We are going to Green Hill Farm on Tuesday. Please wear your oldest clothes because you will get dirty. You must wear long trousers, not shorts. This is because there are tall plants and insects. You also need to bring strong boots. Do not wear nice trainers. The ground is very wet and there is lots of mud. We will be outside all day. Walk in the Black Mountains
For our mountain walk on Thursday, you need to wear the right clothes. The weather changes fast in the mountains. You should wear a T-shirt with a warm jumper over it. If you get hot, you can take the jumper off. You must also bring a light rain coat in your bag. Please wear strong sports shoes so your feet don't hurt. You cannot wear sandals. Make sure you bring a hat to keep the sun off your face.
City History Museum
On Friday, we are visiting the City History Museum. Because this is a special school trip, we want you to look neat and tidy. Please wear a clean shirt and dark trousers or a nice skirt. Do not wear sports clothes or old jeans. You will walk around the museum for three hours, so your shoes must be very comfortable. The museum does not allow large backpacks inside. Getting ready for the first day of school
