Healthy Lunchbox Rules
Fresh Food Rules
We want all students to eat a healthy meal at midday. Your lunchbox must have some fresh fruit or vegetables inside. Please do not bring chocolate or sweet biscuits. They are bad for your teeth! You can bring a small bottle of fruit juice, but water is the best drink. You can fill your water bottle again in the school kitchen. You can share fruit with your friends, but remember to write your name on your own lunchbox so you do not lose it.
Safe Eating Rules
Some students in our school get very sick if they eat nuts. Because of this, you must never bring nuts in your lunchbox. This includes peanut butter sandwiches! You must eat your own lunch and you cannot share your food with your friends. You have to wash your hands carefully with warm water before you sit down to eat. Please keep your lunchbox clean and wash it every evening at home. This helps to keep everyone safe and healthy.
Hot Food and Rubbish Rules
Our school dining room does not have a microwave for students. This means you cannot bring hot food like soup or warm pasta. You must bring cold food like sandwiches or salads. Please bring your food in strong plastic boxes. Do not bring food in glass bowls because they can break and hurt someone. At the end of lunch, you must take all your dirty paper and rubbish home in your bag. Do not wash your plastic boxes in the school bathrooms.

A twisted ankle in PE
Leo
We were playing basketball in the gym for our PE lesson. I wanted to catch the ball, so I jumped really high. But when I came back down, I stood on another student's foot! My ankle hurt a lot.
