Our Climate Change Websites
Tom
For our science project, I built a website about climate change. I love computers, so I did all the technical work myself. My older sister usually helps me with code, but this time I did it alone! I spent a long time looking on the internet for the best photos of nature. The website has beautiful colours and large pictures. I am very proud of how it looks. Next week, I want to write a short text about recycling plastic.
Sarah
My teacher asked us to make a website about the changing weather. I decided to work with my friend Anna. It is much easier to do a big project with a classmate! We did not read any books. Instead, we asked our grandparents and neighbours some questions about the weather in the past. We recorded them speaking and put the audio on our website. We also used our phones to take some nice pictures of trees in the local park.
David
I wanted my climate change website to be full of interesting facts. I did not ask anyone for information. Instead, I went to the school library and read lots of old books. Then, I wrote three long articles for the website. My favourite article explains how people can use less electricity in their homes. I worked very hard for a month. When my teacher saw the finished website, she gave me the best mark in the whole class!

Buying second-hand electronics
Safe Sellers
When you buy a used phone or tablet, you must check the person selling it. Do they use their real name? This is usually a good sign. It is also important to look at the little stars next to their name. These show if other people liked buying from them. Always read the messages from past buyers. Did the seller send the computer quickly? If people say bad things, you should find a different seller. It is always better to be safe!
Product Details
You must look at every part of the page before you buy a cheap laptop. Do not just look at the first photo. You should click on all the pictures to check for bad marks. Also, you must read all the information about the item very carefully. Is there a problem with the battery? If you are not sure, you can write a message to the seller. You can even ask them to send a short video of the phone turning on.
Green Delivery
Buying second-hand electronics is great for the planet, but you can do more. When you choose a new camera, you should find a seller who lives near your town. If the journey is short, the delivery van uses less petrol. You can also send a message to the seller about the box. Ask them not to use any plastic. They can put your item in an old paper box instead. When it arrives, remember to put that paper box in the recycling bin!

Mobile games that plant real trees
Alex
I started playing 'Forest Hero' two months ago. I usually play it on my phone on the bus to school. Every time I get a high score, the game makers plant a real tree! I really love looking at the online map. It shows me the exact places where my trees are growing in the world. Sometimes I ask my parents to play, but they are too busy. My friends like games about wild animals, but I prefer this one.
Ben
I think 'Tree World' is the best game on the internet. I do not play it on the way to school because I walk. Instead, I play it at home at the weekend with my mum and dad. We always try to win together. When you win, you can choose the kind of tree you want to plant. I really enjoy picking different beautiful trees. I told my brother to download it, but his phone is too old.
Charlie
Last year, I loved playing fast car games, but now I only want to play 'Green Planet'. You build a forest in the game, and then workers plant real trees for you. I play it because I want to give wild animals a safe home. That is the most important thing for me. The game is so great that I always talk about it in my class. I tell everyone at my school to put it on their phones!
