Safe Online Clothes Shopping
Right Size, Right Choice
When you buy clothes online, you cannot try them on. It is important to check your size carefully. Always read what other teenagers say about the clothes. If many buyers say a t-shirt is too small, you should order a bigger one. Sometimes the colours in the photos look different in real life, so reading the comments is very useful. You can ask your parents to help you read them. Never buy from a new shop if it has no reviews.
Paying for your Clothes
You must be very careful when you pay for clothes on the internet. Always ask your mum or dad before you buy anything. It is best to use their card and give them your pocket money. Look at the top of your screen before you pay. You must see a small picture of a lock. This means the website is safe. Never buy things when you use free Wi-Fi in a café because someone might steal your information.
Sending Clothes Back
Sometimes your new jeans arrive and you do not like them. Because of this, you must always read the shop's rules before you order. Find out how many days you have to send the clothes back. Most shops give you thirty days. Make sure you do not throw away the emails from the shop. You need them to show when you bought the clothes. Also, check how long the delivery takes so you get your dress before your big weekend party!

Helping Grandparents Buy Food Online
Alex
My grandad got a new tablet for his birthday. I go to his house every Saturday to help him use it. Last week, we tried buying food on the internet. First, I wrote down all the things he wanted on a piece of paper. Then, I showed him how to click the pictures of the food. It was very funny because he made a mistake. He wanted two apples, but he bought twenty! Now, he always asks me to check his shopping basket before he finishes.
Jamie
My grandma always went to the supermarket every morning. But now, she thinks the internet is much faster. I sit with her on the sofa, and we look at different websites. We always try to find the cheapest food. It is great because we can save a lot of money. Before, she only wanted to use paper money in shops. But last month, I showed her how to use her bank card on the computer. She is very happy because it is really easy to do.
Sam
My grandfather has a bad leg, so he cannot walk to the shops anymore. He is sad because he really loved talking to the workers there. Now, he buys all his food online. I don't live in the same town as him, so we do it together on a video call. He reads his shopping list to me, and I find the things on the supermarket website. He likes it when the driver brings the bags to his door. He always chats with the driver instead!
