Our E-Sports Team
Leo
I started our team last year. My job is to choose the best players and organize our games. I always decide what we do in the match. I tell everyone where to go on the map. Sometimes my friends want to play just for fun, but I want to win competitions. I also talk to other teams to plan our practice matches. Before we play, I watch videos of other teams to learn how they play.
Sam
In our video game team, I am the player who scores the most points. I have to be very fast and click quickly. I practise my mouse skills every afternoon for an hour. Sometimes I make mistakes because I try to play too fast, and I forget to wait for my team. I don't like planning before the game. I just want to start playing immediately! My team is great because they always help me when I need it.
Ben
I don't score many points in our games, but I have a very important job. I give medicine and extra items to my team so they can keep playing. I also look at the big map on the screen and tell my friends if danger is coming. I like this role because I love helping people. My brother is the team captain, but I am the one who keeps everyone safe during the game. We are a great team!

Smartwatch Tracking for Running and Swimming
ActiveWatch Guide
Before you go for a run, you must check your watch. Make sure it has enough power. If the battery is low, it will turn off during your run. To start, just press the big green button on the side. Sometimes, you need to sit down and have a drink of water. When you take a short break, press the red button. This stops the time. Press the green button again when you are ready to run. You can also change the screen colour.
FitTime Manual
This watch is great for swimming in the pool. First, you must choose how far you want to go. You can set the number on the screen before you get into the water. When you swim that distance, the watch will make a sound. You do not need a phone to see this. After you finish swimming, you must wash the watch with clean water. This is very important. Do not share the watch with your friends, because it needs to learn your swimming style.
SportTech Tips
When you finish your daily run or swim, you can learn more about your progress. You must connect the watch to your mobile phone. On the phone screen, you can easily look at your old runs. You can also see a picture of the streets where you ran. This map helps you find new places to run. Do you want to show your progress to other people? Just click 'share' to send your times to your friends. They can see how fast you are!
Answer Key & Explanations
7 A - Reason: Text A says "When you take a short break, press the red button. This stops the time," which tells you how to stop it when you rest.
8 B - Reason: Text B says "you must choose how far you want to go," which means deciding the distance to travel.
9 C - Reason: Text C says "You can also see a picture of the streets where you ran" and calls it a "map".
10 A - Reason: Text A tells you to "Make sure it has enough power" and check if the "battery is low" before you start.
11 B - Reason: Text B says you must "wash the watch with clean water" after swimming, which means cleaning it. Text A has a negative trap about having a "drink of water".
12 C - Reason: Text C asks if you want to "show your progress to other people" and tells you to "send your times to your friends." Text B has a negative trap telling you not to share the watch with friends.
13 C - Reason: Text C says to connect to your "mobile phone" so you can "look at your old runs", which means seeing what you did in the past. Text B has a negative trap saying you do not need a phone.

Making Short Videos
Dan
I love making short videos on my tablet. I use a free app. It was already on my phone when I got it. My favorite part is adding text to the screen. I write short stories over the videos. Then I send them to my grandparents. They think they are great! I do not like putting music in my videos. It takes too much time and I want to finish my work quickly.
Ruby
My friends and I love dancing. We use a video app every weekend. It is not free, so I used my pocket money to buy it. It has excellent pop music. You can change the speed of the song easily. At first, the app was difficult to understand. But my older brother showed me how to use the buttons. Now, I can make a beautiful dance video in five minutes. I do not show them to my teachers!
Leo
I make funny videos of my small cat, Max. He likes jumping on my bed. I always download new apps on my tablet because I get bored of using the same one. I like trying different tools every week. Some apps let you add loud animal sounds. When the video is finished, I always upload it to our school group chat. All my classmates watch it during lunch and laugh.
Answer Key & Explanations
