Using Translation Apps on Holiday

I went to Spain with my family last summer. I had a small language book, but I liked using a translation app on my phone much more. It was so fast! I used it a lot in cafes to buy sandwiches and cold drinks. One day, I tried to ask for a glass of water. The app gave me the wrong word, and the waiter brought me a plate of hot soup! We all laughed a lot. The waiter was very friendly.

My parents and I visited Italy for two weeks. My mum and dad cannot speak Italian, so I helped them talk to people. I used a great translation app on my phone. We wanted to see a famous old museum.
