Sharing live locations

Ben

I have a special location app on my smartphone and my smartwatch. When I go to school or travel to a different city, my parents can always see where I am. I do not need to do anything. My mum looks at the map on her phone a lot of times every day. I think it is a good idea. I feel very safe when I travel. My friends think it is annoying, but I do not mind at all.

Chloe

I do not share my location all the time. I only turn on the map app on my phone when I travel alone. If I am with my friends, I do not use it. When I get to my hotel or the train station, I send a text message to my parents. Sometimes I forget to do this because I am busy having fun! Then my dad calls me. I think it is important to tell them I am okay.

Dan

My family has a group chat on our phones. My parents, my older sister and I all share our live location there when we travel. It is fun to see where everyone is on the map! But there is one big problem. The map app uses a lot of power. My phone battery dies very quickly when I leave the app open. I always have to carry a phone charger in my bag everywhere I go.

It is very quick, so it is the perfect choice when you want to watch movies or play video games on your laptop. To join this network, you cannot just read a password from the wall. You must talk to the person at the front desk. They will give you a special code for your phone.

    Hostel Study

Do you have homework to finish? We have a quiet room next to the lobby. You can use the Hostel Study Wi-Fi here. It is very good for reading websites and learning. Planning our family holiday with travel vlogs

      Tom

My family wanted to go to Rome. I watched lots of videos online to help us plan. One vlogger showed a small pizza restaurant. We went there and the food was amazing! The videos also helped us choose our hotel. I saw one video about a famous guest house, but the boy said it was very noisy at night. Because of that, we booked a different place to sleep. We didn't save much money on our trip, but we had a wonderful time.

      Sarah

We went to the sea in Spain last summer. I always watch travel vlogs before we go anywhere. A popular vlogger talked about a lovely beach. She said it is difficult to find, so there are never many people there. We visited it and it was so beautiful and peaceful. The same video showed us how to buy bus tickets online. They were much cheaper than buying them at the bus station. My parents were very happy about that!

      David

My parents asked me to help plan our trip to London. I watched some great vlogs about the city. One video showed people riding bikes through a big park. It looked so much fun, so I told my parents we must do it! It was the best day of our holiday. Another vlogger talked about the weather in London. He explained that it often rains in summer. Because of his advice, I put a raincoat and warm jumpers in my bag.
